Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Programs

At Your Path to Health we have both Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists on staff to help you manage your heart or lung condition.

Our Exercise Physiologists run the Lungs in Action program, which is a Lung Foundation Australia’s community based maintenance exercise program for people with stable chronic lung conditions who have completed a pulmonary rehabilitation. It is also suitable for people with stable NYHA class II & III heart failure who have completed heart failure rehabilitation.

Our Physiotherapist can also assist you to manage you heart or lung condition, this may include:

-Help devising a suitable exercise program – We can work with your EP to do this!
-Uncomfortable breathing (called dyspnoea) that limits your daily activities or ability to exercise
-Persistent secretions or sputum that are difficult to bring up
-Chest tightness or stiffness after open heart surgery
-Pain or incontinence when you cough
-Difficulty using your puffer or respiratory device
